Frisco, Texas Family Photographer

This is a super duper big sneak peak, but I love this family. I love their funky style, and their sweet kids, and their fun sense of humor. This was one of the first families I ever practiced my photography on, and it's so cool to see how much these kids have grown in the last year. This first shot might be one of my favorite family shots ever. I can just see this printed huge on a canvas. As for the rest, well, just see for yourself how awesome this family is. And check the last shot! We were at the Frisco Heritage Museum, and as many times as I've been there I've never seen this vintage firetruck because it's locked in this tiny, dark shed with dark windows. Dad here is a Mckinney firefighter though, and he spotted it instantly. He got the owners to come unlock the shed and we hopped in and shot fast and crazy like. How much did they rock that firetruck shot!? I love it. Thanks H family, it was awesome seeing you all again!

Carrollton, TX Family Photographer

Whew, I'm finally getting up some shots from my photo exchange last month. This is Jill and her lovely family who were gracious enough to come out and swap family shots with us. I have a lot more I wanted to post, but I cannot find the time to look at them. It's busy around here! What an adorable looking family right?

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween, from Handy Luke. Hope everyone had an amazing night last night. Luke is already obsessed with knocking on doors, closing doors, opening doors, so his first real trick or treating went amazingly. He also kept pointing to the full moon and saying, "Ball?"..."Ball."..."Ball?" He just melts my heart and I totally enjoyed eating all his candy last night. :)

Family Photos

I can probably count on one hand the number of family photos we have. Despite loving photography so, so much, I've never hired a photographer to do my own shots. Luckily, I met up with Jill last weekend and we were able to exchange family photos. Jill is a great photographer serving the Rockwall, East Dallas area who I met through an online forum a couple of years ago. We've met a few times and kept in touch a bit. We decided to head out to Carrollton and photograph one another's families. To say I'm thrilled is a vast understatement. I've got way more respect for my clients now too! We worked and worked for this shoot, agonized over clothing choices, got Luke's hair cut, fretted over locations, prayed for no sick kids, jostled Luke's nap times, I mean, I planned this thing into the ground. Of course I show up and it's all chaos. Screaming kids, trafficy streets, and with two families together it was just all over the place. I was SURE we didn't get anything! Now I know how my clients feel every time this happens. Luckily, we have some gems. Thank you again Jill for meeting with me! I'm so grateful. There are more to go through, but here's a sample. My family:

Just pardon the crazy hair, it was windy! Still love this shot though.

Grapevine, Texas Senior Photographer

I first met Lauren here several years ago. She's the little sister of a dear friend of mine. She was always beautiful, but when we first started our session I was completely blown away by what a stunning young woman she's grown into. We got to play around in the beautiful evening light and I got to go crazy with the back lighting. Enjoy your preview Lauren I had a blast today!

Irving, Texas Twin Newborn Photographer

One of my longest, but probably also one my favorite sessions ever. As soon as I showed up I was swooning over their gorgeous home and I knew it was going to be a great session. Then I met mom and dad here and they're some of the coolest, most laid back, easiest parents I've had the pleasure of photographing. Oh, and it helps that the family is beautiful! Two twin boys, one dark like mama, the other fair and blond like dad. So precious. Thanks to my sweet assistant Jill who made this session flow so well, keep an eye on her blog for shots from this session too! Thanks guys for welcoming me into your home and being so amazing about our looong shoot.

Oh! And how much did I lie about this first photo D? This was one of our last shots, we were losing light, babies were SO over it, there may have been some poop issues, and I was sure we didn't get anything, but look at this shot! So perfect!
